Every great business starts with an idea. Kidz Biz Fair gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to turn their ideas into real businesses, build confidence, develop financial skills, and experience entrepreneurship firsthand.

Eligibility: Young entrepreneurs ages 6–17, or age 18 if still enrolled in high school

Every entrepreneur starts somewhere. Here’s how young CEOs turn an idea into a real business.
Step 1: Imagine
Explore ideas and decide what you want to create or sell.
Step 2: Apply
Complete the online application and share your business idea.
Step 3: Build
Create your product or service, develop your brand, and determine your pricing.
Step 4: Practice
Join optional Family Circles, learn from business leaders, and strengthen your skills.
Step 5: Launch
Open your business to real customers at the Kidz Biz Fair.
Step 6: Celebrate
Celebrate your courage, creativity, accomplishments, and growth!

Entrepreneurship isn’t learned in one day.
Our free monthly Kidz Biz Family Circles bring young entrepreneurs and their families together with local business leaders to explore ideas, build practical skills, and prepare for the annual Kidz Biz Fair.
Whether your child has a business idea or is simply curious, Family Circles are a great place to begin.

FIERCE Breakthrough — Coming Soon
The emerging FIERCE Breakthrough Fund is being developed to help eligible young entrepreneurs access small amounts of seed capital while learning how to plan, invest, evaluate results, and reinvest in their businesses.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can participate?
Young entrepreneurs ages 6–17 may apply. Participants who are 18 may also apply if they are still enrolled in high school.
Does my child need an existing business?
No. Young entrepreneurs can begin with an idea and develop their business as they prepare for the fair.
Can siblings or friends work together?
Yes. Each business may have up to three youth participants. Submit one application per business.
What can young entrepreneurs sell?
Participants may offer age-appropriate products or services they have meaningfully helped create or develop.
Can parents help?
Absolutely! Parents can encourage, guide, and provide age-appropriate assistance. However, the young entrepreneurs should lead their businesses, interact with customers, and make sales.
Are Family Circles required?
No. Family Circles are optional learning opportunities designed to help young entrepreneurs and families prepare.
What time are Family Circles?
Family Circles meet monthly from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Central Time.
Is electricity available at the fair?
No. Businesses should plan their displays without access to electricity.
What is provided at the fair?
Each business receives approximately half of an eight-foot table and one or two chairs.
Participants should bring their own table covering, products, signs, display materials, payment supplies, and change.
How can I become a sponsor or volunteer?
We welcome community members and businesses who want to support young entrepreneurs. Use the sponsorship or volunteer links on this page to get involved.
